As you drive down Hobart St., you notice a local business doing some major renovations and improvements. Culberson Autos, formerly Culberson-Stowers, is in the process of building a new, modern auto complex. The main building and showroom are impressive in both stature and design. They give off a big city-feel that is not always present in Pampa. When asked about the new look, Owner Richard W. Stowers said, “It has been 11 years in planning and getting it done. The old building was fifty years old.” The sleek, modern look will bring more recognition, as well as offer the community the best services possible.

Although construction has been ongoing, the project is not yet complete. With an expected completion date of late July or early August, the buzz is certainly growing. “Our desire is to be your one-stop shop for anything you need for your vehicle” says Stowers. There has been an “absence of knowledge” pertaining to what the business does. For that same reason, Stowers said their lot will stretch “from Gwendolen Ave to Braums”. The object is to go big and that’s exactly what they are doing.

Community support is key for any business here in Pampa, and that’s exactly what Culberson Autos has received. It is tough enough having these renovations take place, yet Culberson Autos has remained open through all of it. When asked about the community support Stowers said, “We support our own”. One of their goals is to support the community in whatever it needs to buy local.

The new Culberson Autos complex is a sign of their dedication to the city of Pampa, as well as their dedication to its patrons. They, and many others, would like to encourage you to shop local. They are conveniently located at 805 N. Hobart and are hoping for a possible grand opening sometime in October.
